Empowering Visually Disabled Students in Higher Education

Empowering Visually Disabled Students in Higher Education

✶ 01

Problem

Many disabled students in India are denied the opportunity to thrive in higher education due to a lack of resources and support. Unlike the structured environments they might have experienced in earlier education ( like schools catering to students with special needs - RNKS [ Rajasthan Netraheen Kalyan Sangh ] ), universities often lack the necessary infrastructure and accommodations to ensure their success.

Vision

The Eternal Heroes Foundation (EHF) envisions a world where every disabled student has the chance to pursue their academic dreams. We aim to build a comprehensive support system that empowers them to achieve their full potential in higher education and beyond.

Facilities

EHF will provide a range of facilities to empower disabled students, including:

Accessible hostels: Safe and comfortable living spaces designed to meet the specific needs of students with various disabilities.

Specialized educators: Qualified teachers trained in inclusive education methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles.

Supportive caretakers: Dedicated staff to provide personalized assistance with daily living activities.

Assistive technology: Resources like screen readers, adapted learning materials, and other tools to promote independent learning.

Career counseling: Guidance and support to help students identify their strengths and interests, and navigate career paths.

Impact

By providing these essential facilities, EHF will create a nurturing environment where disabled students can:

Develop independence: Gain confidence and self-reliance through daily living skills and academic achievements.

Build social connections: Form meaningful relationships with peers, educators, and mentors to foster a sense of belonging.

Explore career opportunities: Discover their passions and interests, and pursue fulfilling professional paths.
